A Wet Start To The Season

The first day of the sailing season was wet, with a fast-moving stream.

A gallant group of Minima YC stalwarts took to the water but,  they found that they were going backwards fast and so the racing was abandoned, once it became clear that no-one would be able get round the upstream mark.

Some paddled back to the dinghy park, while, others hitched a lift. One crew took the opportunity to fix a minor repair.

The Centenary trophy will now be sailed at a future date, hopefully when the stream will be weaker, and the champagne has been put in store.
