On a sunny Sunday morning, the largest group of paddlers we have ever had on a trip departed from the Minima boat park. We made our way in a convoy of cars towards the town of Cookham. After a brief coffee stop at The Ferry pub we set off bound for Eton Dorney.

En route, to calls of "it's behind you!", we were treated to spectacular views of Cliveden House.

One of the many positives of this trip was that the lock keepers were in general quite friendly and helpful, although I couldn't really fathom their tradition of keeping trees in plastic bags.

We took a well earned rest at Bray lock and took in some of the spring sunshine.

By the end of the day we were in need of some refreshment. Unfortunately our first choice of restaurant turned us away so we returned to Kingston and had a slap up meal at the wonderful Al Forno restaurant.
